Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

This first aid course is officially known as Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting. The unit of competency is known HLTAID012 and describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults. The unit applies to childcare workers, educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. 

Duration: 4.5 hours. Time 9am – 1.30pm. Cost $125.00. HLTAID012 has 120 pre course questions and no in class multi choice questions. 

This course is also suitable for parents wanting child focused, comprehensive, accredited first aid training.

The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.

This unit of competency may contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).

Please note it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on a baby, child and adult mannequin on the floor.
